Property taxes are due November 4th each year. Bills are mailed about 60 days in advance. Pay securely online or at the Town Office.

Water bills are sent quarterly (April, July, October, January). Pay by mail, drop box, or online through Doxo — “Pay your town bill — Utilities.”

Pay taxes and fees online, anytime

Property taxes for the Town of Arlington are due annually on November 4th, with bills mailed roughly 60 days in advance. Water bills are issued quarterly. Pay securely online, by mail, or by drop box inside the front door of Town Hall.

Applications, licenses & records

Town trust fund applications

The Trustees of Public Funds manage four charitable trusts and accept applications:

  • Edith & Emmett Smith Fund — enrichment projects for Arlington residents, with preference for those benefiting youth.
  • Florence Holden Fund — support for people who experienced loss from a catastrophic event, such as a fire.
  • Tri-Centennial Fund — reserved for the Arlington/Sunderland Tri-Centennial celebration in 2076.
  • Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund — long-term projects at Arlington’s two cemeteries.
Licenses & registrations

Dog licenses (due April 1st), hunting & fishing licenses, Green Mountain Passports (residents 62+), and DMV car registration renewals are all handled at the Town Clerk’s office.

Records requests

Meeting minutes and agendas are posted online; vital records (birth, death, marriage) require a short application at the Town Clerk’s office. Land records are available through the online portal.
